Bob was born in the snowy city of Buffalo, NY. Moves happened often during his childhood, a new town, a new house, and new faces happened every five years. The first half of High School occurred in upstate New York while commencement took place in Rhode Island. He continued his higher education at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Motivated, excited, and driven, he settled in NJ and practiced OT where he worked two jobs to quickly pay off student loans.
With a childhood dream of becoming a pilot, he started flight lessons with the intention of becoming a private pilot. While continuing to work in healthcare, his daily interactions with elderly patients echoed the same theme from many of their life experiences… “I wish I, I wish I, I wish I.” Now having caught the “aviation bug”, and unhappy in his Monday to Friday, 9-5, two weeks off a year career, it was time for a change. At 28, he would leave the comfort of his hard earned Occupational Therapy career to pursue Aviation as a second career.
Over the past 13 years he has enjoyed the amazing adventurous ride in the world of aviation. The dream of “one day” becoming a pilot…..happened. He is humbled by the opportunity and places his new career has taken him. He currently resides in the US Territory of Guam with many close friends. It was there he met friends Dan Bartlett and Brian Johnson. They quickly became close friends and adventure travel seekers. Trips on motorcycles found them exploring areas of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines. It was determined that the best way to see more places would be on motorcycles, and so began their around the world motorcycle trip.
Bob continues on his journey in life and is always looking forward to what’s around the next corner and knowing that “I wish I” motivates his desires to explore more.
